About the Book

As competition in the industrial sector gets more intense and processes become more complex to run, it is desirable to use some type of automated control. Process system analysis and control bridges the gap between old views of process control and its present and expanded function by fusing traditional concerns with a wider perspective on the more integrated operation of processes, control, and information systems. Control systems are used to maintain desired process conditions by adjusting specific process variables. The cruise control on a vehicle is a typical example of a control system in daily life. Systems analysis is a process that involves gathering and evaluating data, detecting issues, and decomposing a system into its constituents. System analysis is used to examine a system or its components in order to ascertain its aims. It is a strategy for resolving problems that enhances the system and guarantees that all of the system's components operate effectively to meet their objectives. This book is a valuable compilation of topics, ranging from the basic to the most complex theories and principles in the field of process system analysis and control. It is designed in such a way, that it will provide deep insights about the new theories and concepts related to the subject to the readers. It consists a detailed description of all process control systems and their tools including, stability, root locus technique, transient response, steady response etc. it deals with advanced control strategies, laplace transform, control elements and control system design. This book picks up individual concepts and theories and explains their need and contribution in the context of the growth of this field. It also explores adaptive control, selective control, inferential control, model based control systems and digital process control. This book is a self-instructed manual for all the readers about the subject that targets their interest in this field.

About The Editor

Katrice Coons is a Professor at Community College, Canberra. She pursued her Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering from Technological University, Dunedin.
